Education for social change
Established in 2014, the Global Labour University Online Academy (GLU – OA) is part of a long tradition of worker political education to build critical consciousness and capacity to fight for better working conditions, advancement of democratic rights, and social change. The GLU-OA aspires to offer a framework for permanent worker education that combines studying online with face-to-face engagement (blended learning) moving the learners from political awareness to action on the ground.
